Background of this candidate:  --  Mechanical Engineering graduate.  Has rich experience in teaching and administration.  Confident. Good manners and good personality.  Already received appointment in a nationalised bank and awaiting posting.

I reported at 7:20 AM and the certificate verification started immediately. Then we were allotted with numbers for GD and PI. Breakfast was provided for all the candidates. We were 10 in a group and my name was first in the list.

Group Exercise :

1. GD (TOPIC : Leaders are born not made) – Time allotted was 20 min. My group was very cooperative. Had a good discussion.

2. Prioritisation Exercise :

What are the qualities does a job applicant consider before applying for a job. There were 8 parameters and two columns. One for our ranking and the other for group consensus.

We need to fill in the sheet and submit it to the officer present inside. 20 Min of discussion happened to arrive at a consensus. To my surprise most of the group members accepted my ranks. I was happy.

Personal Interview :

Immediately after the GE, we were lined up for Personal Interview. I was in panel – I. There were 4 members (1 female and three male)

M1 : Asked about my past job experiences and why banking

M2 : What is inflation? Is it good or bad?

         What is deflation? If deflation leads to reduction in prices, is it good or bad?

         What is the acceptable range of inflation?

Mostly basic questions related to economics and banking

M3 : What is the hot news in today’s paper? And followed with questions based on what I told

M4 : Talk about your hometown.

My interview went on very good. I was very happy. The panel members were friendly. They wished me all the best.
