Changes brought in SBI PO 2015 Exam.--IMPORTANT
Dear Candidates:
I am receiving mails from a few candidates asking for doubts regarding the new pattern.
1. Please go through the SBI Advertisement thoroughly --once, twice and thrice.
2. Let me tell you a few changes brought this time: This year we have Preliminary exam to be conducted in June. It is for one hour duration. English -30, Quantitative aptitude -35 and Reasoning -35 questions. Total 100 questions and possibly 100 marks. Negative marking no mention about it but it may continue viz 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer . Candidates will have to secure pass marks in the preliminary exam as may be decided by the Board.
3. It is mentioned that roughly 20 times the number of vacancies -- candidates will be selected for Main Examination. That will be as it was last year -- viz-- English -- 50 questions, Data Interpretation - 50 questions , Reasoning (high level) --50 questions and Banking related general awareness+Computer Knowledge+ Marketing --50 questions(possibly 20+15+15). Negative marking was there last time and it may continue --1/4 mark penalty for wrong answers. The test is online only as it was in 2014. 2 hours duration.
4. After Objective test candidates will have to take a descriptive paper test of one hour duration. Essay writing and Letter writing. 50 marks. Candidates will have to answer this also in computer. That means essay writing and letter writing has to be done on computer. This requires your having sufficient practice for typing fast. Candidates will have to secure qualifying marks. That means the marks secured in descriptive tst may not be taken into account for selection.
5. Written test marks and G.D.(20) and Interview (30) will be taken into account for final selection.

Descriptive Test paper of only those
candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective
Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in objective test.
